Why it is built this way
A working musician's page should say where to hear them this week before anything else. Rue Delacroix does that with the first button, "Thursdays at the Paragon", which doubles as a standing residency notice.
The four buttons cover four reasons someone visits, in order: the regular gig, the recordings ("Listen to the trio"), teaching ("Lessons, two students left") and private bookings ("Hire the trio for a room").
Two details are worth stealing.
"Two students left" puts a stated limit on the lessons offer, which makes it more persuasive than a generic "Book lessons".
"For a room" quietly tells event planners the trio plays private functions, without a paragraph explaining it.
The styling is a late-night bar. Warm near-black (#0E0B0A) behind, a soft parchment bio (#DED6CC) and one warm amber (#E0A458) for the buttons and profile ring, like stage light on brass. EB Garamond, a classic old-style serif, gives the name a vintage feel, and Inter keeps the buttons readable. Rounded buttons match the easy tone of the bio: "Piano, mostly standards and mostly late."
Classic layout, four buttons, nothing else switched on. For a musician with a residency, that is all the page needs to carry.
