Why it is built this way
Release day. The label posts a clip, the link goes in the bio, and the first button already says the right thing: "HS014 is out now". Catalogue numbers are how collectors and label people talk, so leading with one tells a visitor they are in the right place.
What the page is doing, choice by choice:
The buttons use a gradient from electric cyan (#00E5FF) to deep teal (#004E57) on pure black (#000000), so the colour glows without flooding the screen.
A mesh animated background runs in the same cyan at a calm speed and a low intensity of 26. The page moves, but it never fights the artwork.
Syne, a wide, experimental display face, sets the label name. Urbanist, a clean geometric sans, handles the bio and buttons.
"Demos, read this first" may be the most useful button a small label can have. It sets expectations before an artist sends anything, which spares everyone a pile of unanswered emails.
"Vinyl and shirts" goes last, because merch is for people who already like the label.
The bio adds the one number that builds credibility: "Fourteen releases so far."
The classic layout keeps all of this in a single column with round buttons. A collective, a label or any project where each release has a number and a date can start from here.
