Taplink is the cheaper tool for selling and capturing leads from a bio page. Its Business plan costs $16 a month on a 3-month term or $8 a month prepaid for a year (US prices), with no Taplink fee on sales, while Linktree takes 12% of digital product sales on Free and 9% on Starter and Pro until Premium at $35 a month ($30 billed annually).
Linktree wins on flexibility and familiarity. It bills month to month, offers 7-day trials on Pro and Premium, and is the better-known name. Which one is better depends on whether your page mainly sells or mainly points people elsewhere.

As of September 27, 2026. Taplink figures are US prices; Taplink prices by region, and from Sydney the same page showed Pro at $3 and Business at $6 a month on a yearly term. Check taplink.at/en/pricing and linktr.ee/s/pricing.
The billing terms matter as much as the price
Linktree bills like most subscriptions: pay for this month, cancel next month. Taplink doesn't sell a single month. Its shortest term is three months paid upfront, so trying Pro costs $24 and trying Business costs $48 before you know whether the page earns anything. In return, Taplink's yearly price is half its 3-month rate, which is how Business gets down to $8 a month.
Over a full year on each tool's cheapest term, the gap looks like this:
- Taplink Pro costs $48 a year. Linktree Starter costs $72 billed annually.
- Taplink Business costs $96 a year. Linktree Pro costs $144 and Premium $360, billed annually.
Plan names don't line up one to one. Removing branding takes Taplink's top plan but only Linktree's middle one, so for an unbranded page that doesn't sell, compare Taplink Business at $96 with Linktree Pro at $144.
When Taplink Business costs less than Linktree
For a page that sells, the percentage decides it. Taplink Business on a yearly term costs $8 a month and takes nothing from sales. Linktree Free costs nothing and takes 12%. Twelve percent of $66.67 is $8, so once you sell more than about $67 a month through the page, Business is the cheaper option. Payment processing, such as Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 on a US card, applies on both tools, so it's left out of these figures.
- Compared with Linktree Free: Business costs less above about $67 a month in sales on the yearly term, or $133.33 on the 3-month term.
- Versus Starter ($6 a month billed annually, 9% fee): Business on a yearly term costs less above $22.22 a month in sales.
- Against Premium ($30 a month billed annually, 0% fee): Business costs $22 a month less at any sales level.

What Taplink does better
- Selling and lead capture per dollar. Business combines payments through more than 60 listed providers, lead forms, a CRM, automated emails and lead notifications for $8 a month on a yearly term.
- More free design choice. Basic includes 200+ themes, and Pro adds professional templates for 20 niches.
- A custom domain on its own price list. Business includes your own domain with an SSL certificate.
- Reviews. Taplink rates 4.8 out of 5 from 296 reviews on Software Advice.
What Linktree does better
- Low-risk trying. Monthly billing and 7-day trials on Pro and Premium mean a paid plan costs one month at most to test.
- Recognition. Linktree says it has more than 70 million users.
- Social tools. Premium adds social media scheduling, unlimited Instagram auto-replies, smart routing and data export.
- Simplicity. Even a comparison published by Shelfy, a competing bio-link tool, says Taplink's extra features bring "a steeper learning curve and a less polished, more utilitarian feel."
Who should pick which
Pick Taplink if the page sells digital products or services, you want lead forms and a basic CRM without another tool, and you're happy paying at least three months upfront. At US prices it's the cheaper tool for that job once sales pass about $67 a month on a yearly term, or $133 on the 3-month term.
Pick Linktree if you'd rather pay monthly or try a plan free first, if the page mostly lists links, or if you'd use social scheduling and Instagram auto-replies in the same tool.
Neither is ideal for pages across many profiles. Taplink's FAQ says each plan covers one Instagram profile, so five profiles means five plans.
A third option: Raydar
Raydar has no checkout, so if your page exists to sell, Taplink Business is the better buy. Raydar is built around where your clicks come from, tracing each one to the platform, post or campaign behind it. A custom domain is included from $9 a month ($6.49 billed annually), paid plans are month to month, Starter covers 10 pages under one login, and Raydar takes a 0% platform fee. The free plan has two pages and basic analytics with no card. See Raydar's pricing or the full Raydar vs Linktree comparison.
